Psalm 51:10-11
“Create in me a clean heart, O Elohim, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me away from Your presence, and do not take Your Set-Apart Spirit from me.”
Understanding This Verse
David prayed this after his sin with Bathsheba was exposed by the prophet Nathan. It is the most raw, honest prayer of repentance in Scripture. David doesn't make excuses — he begs for a clean heart and the continued presence of Yahuah's Spirit.
Reflection
Is there something you need to bring before Yahuah in honest repentance? He does not despise a broken and contrite heart.
